Bloom HTML will soon enable fx overlay, selectable per image(s)
The Bloom Player simply plays two audio files at once. So, the background audio is ongoing while the narration tracks are swapped out.
This is done by having two "player"s (the tech is HTML5).
It would be pretty straightforward in the backend to mix audio files as discussed here using the stuff in the media library package in SP, but right now the app is functionally pretty much like how Andrew described Bloom Player. We had just the two audio tracks because that was the format of the PhotoStory template.
Somehow we also need the ability to adjust the overall volume of the background music/fx. Currently, this is a problem with PS3 -- the balance of music/fx to audio narration in PS3 displays differently once converted to an mp4/3gp. I don't know if this is or will be an issue with Bloom. I don't think we want or need to adjust volume of fx to narration for every slide. That might be overkill. To keep things simple, I'm thinking a master volume adjuster for fx. The narration can remain static according to how it was recorded. Does this need to be a separate issue or can it be addressed with this issue?
Be able to select a sound track to play in the back and have it play along. Here a are a few thoughts:
