Footnote word spacing problem #932

Closed KimB2017 closed 7 months ago

The footnotes in my publication have very wide spacing between words. I thought they were formatting as justified, so I carefully edited each footnote-related style to remove "justified." [Question: Why doesn't this attribute cascade down from the main Footnote \f style def?]

That didn't solve the problem so I checked the "final usfm" tab in PTXPrint and saw these boxes" have been inserted between each word. I checked every setting I can find in PTXPrint but can't find anything that looks related to this. So I "tidied up" (after editing the styles), but the problem persists, as can be seen in the screenshots. Any ideas, please?

Ah! I solved it! The PrintDraftChanges had an ancient (circa 2012) piece of regex to add 5 spaces between each word in the text, because in those days we were having teams hand-print glosses for a first-draft interlinear. Deleting this line made my footnote problem go away.
