@ddaspit - can you check out the below plan for updating coding conventions?

Some things to do or not do: [W: Warn - go back and fix all!; S: Suggest, N: do Nothing]

• Naming:
  • [W] Mandate casing of parameters (pascal, snake, Static: s, internal: , etc.)
  • [S] Spell check - we won't go and retroactively fix everything, but expect users to continue to add to the dictionary and have new files be clean from spelling errors (except for test strings)
  • [S] Usage of abbreviations: can use this list
• Style conventions:
  • [S] Mandate var usage (should we? If so, how?) - the quality of automatic assessments as to when and where var should be used is not good enough right now. Although it is good enough in 80% of the cases, so suggestions are ok.
  • [N] Braces conventions for if, else, foreach, nesting, multi-line/single line - user discretion
  • [W] Braces for namespace - remove!
  • [S] Braces for using - recommend simple using
  • [W] Inline null checking - yes! Inline null throwing, no!
  • [N] out variable declaration?
  • [W] Use Primary constructor
  • [S] Use shortened collection initialization
• General cleanup:
  • [W] Remove unused variables, usings, etc.
• Code analysis checks:
  • [W] Disposing resources properly
  • [W] Forgetting to pass through cancellation token
  • [W] Using proper log formatting
• Unit:
  • [S] Use Has.Count instead
