What is the current development status of the Linux version? It was briefly mentioned here: https://software.sil.org/silkin/download/

SILKin was developed in Java using NetBeans on a Mac. It is tested and debugged with NetBeans on Mac & PC. A friend tried to run SILKin on a Linux box with the JVM and immediately it crashed. Someone who: is familiar with Java has a Linux machine is willing to install NetBeans (a free java development platform) and run SILKin in the debugger

could probably help us understand the problem quickly and fix it. Then we could issue the Linux version. We have not found anyone like that. I am not willing to become a Linux person just for this purpose. We have never had an inquiry about a Linux version.

So the short answer is “nothing is happening."

@garymorris2245 Thanks for the quick feedback. Could you tag a release here on GitHub so I and others have a tarball to begin with? I will gather some feedback on it and see to have silkin included in my favourite Linux distribution of choice.
