Trayicon Bugs in 0.9.x #241

Open sillysloft opened 20 years ago

sillysloft commented 20 years ago

When starting sim after amule is running, the space for the trayicon of sim is reserved (grey blank in size of an icon) but the amule icon disappears, and sim shows up where amules icon was. After closing sim, the tray area is resized to a one-icon-size again, and the amule icon shows up.

When I first start sim, and then amule, both icons are in the right place.

Also, when an application is in the tray and you restart fluxbox from the menu, the tray area disappears completley, but the application(s) is(/are) still running.

I have attached an example image with small screenshots to describe the icon behavior with those two applications.

With the CVS from 14.04.2004 that bug is still there. One more addition.. If the SIM icon is in the tray and you klick on 'restart' to restart fluxbox, the tray icon not only disapperas. the other thing that happens, is that a grey quarter appears in the slit. application is still lost and not accessible anymore.

Same thing here Interestingly: it happens only if I start a third application in which uses the tray. What happens: I start the third program - the others get pushed back, but the new Icon gets drawn on the wrong side - i.e. on the left side instead of the right side.

Oh - and one thing I noticed too... If I press an icon in the tray, the window gets displayed on the desktop which the application is at - but when I click on that app, I want to see it, so what needs to be done? Either switch to that desktop automatically (not very desirable) or put the application on the desktop you're on. That would be the perfect behaviour

I am running 0.9.9 fluxbox also and I have having a similar issue. I have one app in the tray and then I open another, the first disappears, but the app is still running. So now I have two apps running in the tray but one visible. I open another app that goes to the tray and both the second and now the third app are in the tray but the first is still hidden. I close out the third app and then the first and second appear together in the tray. If I start the third app again the first app in the tray disappears from the tray.
