Resize Thing missing - mozilla #47

Open sillysloft opened 22 years ago

sillysloft commented 22 years ago

First copy of mozilla opened (1.0RC2) has Resize Thing. Subsequent mozilla windows (opened as new processes) are missing the Resize Thing, but can still be resized with alt-RMB.

I believe all mozilla windows should have the Resize Thing.

I'm using cvs (20020527-NZ) however the problem has been observed on irc.openprojects.net/#fluxbox by users with 0.1.9 as well.

just to add info, when I call mozilla from the debian startup script /usr/bin/mozilla, I have the resize widget missing, but if I call mozilla from a custom startup script that I used before I switched to using debian mozilla, I get the resize widgets.

I'll see if I can attach the two script and maybe eventually figure out what's going on.

k, I have no idea how to attach files, I can't find a link to do so, so here are the scripts:

I have also been experiencing this same problem. I'm currently running fluxbox 0.1.10.

First mozilla is started from the menu, it is resizable and has a tab. If I start another mozilla from the menu, it does not have a tab and has no border (not resizable).

If I start a new mozilla window from ctrl-n within mozilla, the new mozilla comes up properly with a tab/border. The problem is only if I start another instance from the menu.

Very annoying little bug, since I'll often start new mozilla's in a different workspace, forgetting I already have one going.

The bug is when a new mozilla window is started up by the helper program:

/usr/bin/mozilla-xremote-client-1.0.0

the resize widgets are missing, but if you start it up through

/usr/lib/mozilla/mozilla-bin

then you do see the resize widgets

This seems to be some sort of modal inheritance issue or something? I dunno. Btw I'm running 0.1.11 and I'm still having this issue.

Has this been fixed? It still occurs in 0.1.14...
