on vertical tab / toolbar, fonts looks wrong #600

when i use vertical tab and vertical toolbar, it's font doesn't looks properly.

I use "ngulim.ttf" font, which is MS windows(korean version) font having embedded bitmap for better quality of korean, china, japan characters. I use it by xft2.

it looks ok horizontally, but not vertically.

Hi,

I've only seen this once before. The person ended up having it resolved by a debian upgrade (to some font packages).

Specifically, he seemed to think it had something to do with using bold/italic fonts. Might want to check your style file and try some different options.

well.... i removed ":bold" option in my style file,

then all looks fine. but it seems not be an answer of it.

what is wrong? fluxbox? xft2? font? distro?

I use "ngulim.tt". it's not font of debian package. i bring it from MS windows.

it has embedded bitmap fonts. so as i turn off AA between specific font size, I can see more clear korean, japan, china characters.(or letters?)

I treid another truetype font, but result is same. it looks wrong as I use ":bold" option in my style. i wonder another Debian/Ubuntu users experience same problem when they use truetype font with ":bold"

Hi, I'm closing this as I'm 99% sure that it's not a fluxbox bug. More likely an Xft bug.
