A graphical description of the problem

I forgot to mention that the problem _does_not_ affect the submenu titles (as shown in the attachment) and is font-independent (checked everything from 'fixed' to 'Tahoma' TrueType - same behavior).

Fixed in svn, thanks.

Environment:
* OS: Slackware 11.0 + current, * X.org: 7.0 (Slackware-current packages), * Fluxbox: 1.0rc3 (Slackware-current package), * locale: pl_PL (however the bug is not locale-sensitive).
If the user sets the menu title to a string containing non-latin characters, it is displayed incorrectly after Fluxbox restart. However, when the contents of the menu file are changed (or even if the file is only `touch'ed), it is displayed correctly. I attach an image describing the problem more clearly (hopefully!).
I've encountered a similar behavior on a machine with a different X.org version and Fluxbox compiled from source. The bug occurs no matter which locale is set. Enclosing the menu contents with [encoding] {ISO-8859-2} / [endencoding] also didn't do any good.
