My toolbar starts corrupt showing the time to the right (which is usually on the left) and the rest is gray I can fix it by right clicking it unchecking visible then checking it then it is fine. I am running arch at the moment but I am pretty sure I had the same problem in ubuntu. I have attached a screenshot. EEEPC 701

Same problem. Notebook ASUS K61IC with NVidia driver 260.19.26, debian squeeze. Fluxbox 1.1.1 from debian repo. .fluxbox/startup (presumably the reason, as order of programs in this file matters): xmodmap .. xscreensaver .. conky fbxkb xcompmgr -c -C -f -F -n & fbsetbg -l &
