I am not sure if what I added is best practice, but I had to do it to get things to work in ubuntu 12.04.

Hi, didn't get a notify on that PR, or didn't reach me by any means. So sorry for the delay! I'll review that by the end of this week. From a brief look it feels like the lookup plugin thing has already been fixed in 0.7.0.

No worries. I think I tried the new version and it worked fine. My changes were just an ugly hack anyway so you can ignore. Thanks!
