Unclear licensing #3

Hello,
I'm packaging pyspatialite for Debian, and I have problems with the license of
this software.

In the tarball, there is a LICENSE file containing the zlib/libpng license,
with copyright 2004-2007 Gerhard Häring.

PKG-INFO contains Lokkju Brennr as author, and doesn't mention Gerhard Häring
at all.

The homepage says the license is MIT, and the only contributor is Lokkju Brennr.

Would you please clarify the situation?

Thanks,
David

I'll try to update it to all be a bit more clear...

Google Code hosting doesn't/didn't offer a zlib license option - MIT was the
closest.

The entire pyspatialite package is based on pysqlite, which was written by
Gerhard. Though some of that code is itself cribbed from other places, I chose
to leave alone files that I didn't modify the source of, and only add an extra
copyright line to the files I created from scratch, or that I modified (see,
for instance, setup.py).

If you have suggestions on how to make the situation clearer, I'd be happy to
do what I can - I would *love* to have this package available in debian/ubuntu
packaging systems.
