Hi superqix, your site is amazing. I'm really glad you could use OpenPixels for it and could mix it with another tileset. I saw that you also changed the color palette, what exactly you did? I'm thinking on changing the colors of OpenPixels' tiles for one with less bright. You used MelonJS, right? Do you used any tool for creating the maps?
Also, I think we could merge in these tiles you created/mixed, into the OpenPixel project. I don't see a conflict with the licenses (from Public Domain to a CC-BY-SA). I suggest you do a pull request with these tiles in a single PNG file.
Thanks man--and your tiles were a huge help to getting it done.
I just dropped the overall saturation and reduced the set to 256 colors in total in Photoshop. This helped both size and retro-ness :) Here's the whole set after the color change and being PNG crunched....

You know it's funny, I thought about doing 2 or three palette swaps on it to give me a Day/Dusk/Night set, but I never got around to doing the outside levels.
Yep, I used MelonJS for the engine. Those guys were grea throught the whole project. I also used Tiled for the maps.
How would you want them? The whole tile set in the Indexed palette or just the updated tiles? I could add the dungeon set to the current set in an empty spot so there wouldn't need to be two sets.
Did that make any sense?
Yes, find a spot on open_tileset.png and I will put it in the XCF later.
Okay. And you want that as a pull request...
Yes, because later me and anyone else can track these tiles back to you (Github has a nice diff that work for images also).
I didn't realize the diff worked on images. Cool.
I will fork and send shortly.
Nice design framework. I liked it so much I used it in a portfolio project called Portfolio Quest...

Here are the additional tiles I added to the set for that project...
Some of those tiles were sourced from this public domain tileset...

and remixed to fit the color scheme & wall style.
