'attempting to connect' takes indefinitely #10

when you hit https://dogfeed.5apps.com/#/ while connected to remoteStorage (i tried this with testing@heahdk.net), it says 'info: attempting to connect'. this message does not go away. is it actually attempting anything? is there a timeout on that?

what are you expecting from the user here, how long do you want them to wait? i think to many users that will not be clear, you should give them some information after 10 seconds of waiting, otherwise they will not know whether to wait longer or to give up
