The term JavaScript on main page appears as link. 

This is because it is recognized as "WikiWord". This can be prevented by 
adding a exclamation mark before it, like this: !JavaScript

It's a feature of the googlecode wiki. I don't know how to turn it off.

You can turn it of by changing "JavaScript" to "!JavaScript".

I thought you meant "fix it yourself". But no: I don't have admin rights and do 
not see 
the admin-tab (and I don't really need it).

Ah, OK. I thought as a project member that you got access to the wiki etc. My 
mistake.
