Icons disappear in 2D campaign screen in Mig Alley #1

On ubuntu 20.04 LTS with wine 5.0, all campaign screen icons disappear when an icon is clicked. On Windows 7, this does not happen. The Mig Alley source code here: https://github.com/gondur/mig_src

A workaround for this bug on linux is: 1: select the “Size” icon.

  1. when icons disappear, select “Hide/reveal Toolbars”.
  2. When all icons disappear, click and drag the window border to cause Size and Hide/Reveal toolbars to appear again.

Solved by turning off virtual desktop and diverting the occluding black box that results onto a second monitor. See documentation in esports for engineers tar file.
