GIRLS hi, we have two options:

1- keep E/R model with "Place" as an attribute (as before).

2- change E/R model with "Place" as an ENTITY.

At first, like you, I wanted the first one. But then when I started creating the tables for the conceptual model (WHO, WHEN, WHERE, WHAT), I realized that the tables for the entities WHO (in the E-R model "Person") and WHAT (in the E-R model "Artifacts") are not enough. See the tables in our conceptual model: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mfoxKqs0qNJddcq3TMVCy-hbejjhhhV-S3TkYOwviNc/edit#

In fact, while for WHEN we don't need any further table, keeping it as an attribute like it is in our E-R model (in fact we can write "date of birth" and "date of death" under the table WHO, and "date of creation" under the table WHAT), WE CAN'T DO THE SAME FOR THE PLACE if we want to add more information about it. So we have to choose:

1- if we want just to say the NAME of the place (es. Wittenberg). 2- if we want to say the name of the place and other information (es. Wittenberg, in Germany, latitude 93°N 78°W, type: metropolitan city etc). I strongly suggested this choice, because I've already done the table with its ontologies, and it look very complete. If we agree on this second choice, the E/R model should be like that:
