Hi, I just tried to run your script on the Snap version of Firefox in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Desktop: I get this error: ¨The specified Firefox directory does not exist. Firefox may not be installed or not in the default directory." It probably has to do with Snap installing FireFox in a sandbox. Please, advice

You're exactly right. Snap packages are a PIA sometimes. Check out this article on how to install FireFox the correct way. https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/how-to-install-firefox-deb-apt-ubuntu-22-04
Thanks for your swift reply, Simeon. I did as you suggested and am now checking out the FireFox Privacy Script-ed properly apt installed Firefox. Cheers!
For me is not working in Fedora 40. I have this issue: "The specified Firefox directory does not exist. Firefox may not be installed or not in the default directory." I try to change the folder in the script (with the command which Firefox this is the folder: "/usr/bin/firefox") but is not working. I even tried with chatgpt to modify the code.

You likely don't have the full version of firefox installed. Uninstall the one that comes with the os and instead go to the firefox website and use the installer from the website.
