I created a little bash script which automatically updates most of the project with ./update.sh "path/to/bootstrap/git". This includes

The less files are copied and renamed
The JavaScript files are copied and added into the package.js in a specified order (new files would have to be added to the bash script in order to appear in the package.js
The fonts are also copied and added to the package.js. Those are all automatically added.

Also I put the advanced usage examples into the readme and updated them for the .import.less change.

Also I and @dwinston wrote same stuff already, but your update.sh is most brilliant. ;-)
