Export Issue #311

Open LukFndz opened 1 year ago

LukFndz commented 1 year ago

Hey! Thanks for creating this tool, it's great.

I have a problem, I can't export large models, when the export is finished, nothing happens in the folder. Sometimes it throws an error, but doesn't say anything.

Log:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

simlu commented 1 year ago

Sounds like the model you're exporting is too large. You can try to allocate more memory to the Java process (if your computer has enough memory).

What model are you trying to export and what format are you exporting to?

im trying with a .vox model, import is good, the problem is exporting to .dae

Hello! My object material is not organized correctly when exporting in *.dae format.

That's why everything is displayed incorrectly in blender. I'm using VoxelShop Alpha version 1.8.26 (I think it's the latest) I really liked the program itself - it processes the voxel model quickly, removes unnecessary polygons (even in UE4 the models don't weigh much)... but the textures are not applied to the object correctly. Will the program be further developed, or is this already the final version 1.8.26?

I haven't worked on this in a very long time as other projects just became more important.

This should work as expected - at least it does when importing into blender.

Can you be a bit more specific?

Thank you!

Hello! I'll start from the beginning: I am a fan of both the game and the Fallout series :) I decided to make a mini-demo for fans

  1. In GoxelVoxel I made a corridor from the shelter (size: w:125 h:190 d:23)

1

  1. Using your VoxelShop program I processed the model (reduced the polygons) and saved it in *.dae format

2

5.I loaded the model into Blender and connected the material (texture)

3 4

It turns out that the texture is not applied correctly to the model itself

I thought to switch to "closest" in the settings, but after saving the object in *.fbx the texture still remains incorrect (not beautiful)

Tell me how to do it correctly... it would be a pity to look for an alternative to such a good program as yours! :`(

p.s. I apologize for my English, I use a text translator
