Crawl sequential - in series - CD-ROM or DVD - update transform with media id #21

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Enable crawl of hard media in sequence without crawler shutdown

Ask user at the end of crawl if they wish to "crawl another?"

Provide text box for user to enter media id (default blank) - the values
entered here should persist following completion of the crawl for easy
update by the user. i.e. if user is cataloguing a sequence of CDs 101 to
200 etc.

For tranform: -

Include MEDIA ID in supplemental information (or preferrably in
appropriate metadata field i.e Offline Media - offlineMed "Name of media
on which the resource can be found") Include the MEDIA ID in the ABSTRACT
for searchability in Geonetwork.

To do - add media id to abstract in transform.

testing results:
fail to read supported formats
modify text on tick box: keep dialogue open for subsequent crawls - or similar.

Logic problem - Crawl of additional media adds Deleted flag for previously
crawled
media/records - solution is to compare mediaid - if the same for a given record
add
deleted flag etc.

Susequent media crawls should probably add to the existing dialogue - not spawn
a
new window

This issue is resolved by r285.

Note: suggested text for check box "keep dialogue open for subsequent crawls"
was a
bit too long. Text remains as is, but the tooltip now reads "Do you want to
keep
this dialog box open after running the metadata crawl so you can run another?"
