Locking Wikis #318

This would be a great feature to add. Use password to edit wikis. I would be willing to pay more for this feature.

Though I'd second that, you need to go to the TiddlyWiki devs for that.

Tiddlyhost is - as the name implies - only hosting the Wikis and is most likely unable to add any changes.

George, are you wanting to give other people permission to edit your TiddlyWiki by giving them the password? Is that the idea?

And the locking would be needed so different people don't overwrite each other's changes, is that right?

Hi Simon

The Tiddly Wiki is a wonderful piece of software. And my request is probably outside the realm of TiddlyHost. I am using Tiddly Wiki for a user's manual for some software I have developed in the financial quant space. I am an old school data scientist and my programming started with Fortran and now is focused primarily on Python. I have avoided HTML as long as possible and thanks to Wordpress I think I will be able to postpone delving into that language. I am barely touching the surface with Tiddly Wiki, but its bare bones is more than sufficient. I simply want to provide a read only manual via Tiddly Wiki to those who use my software and/or books. User's can suggest modifications or additions through my website, but I would like to be the sole administrator of the wiki.

Thanks for getting back to me and have a great day,

George
