Quick-Camera crashes computer once opened (logitech related?) #16

Hello! I really like quick-camera, but I'm having an unfortunate scenario where every time I open the application, it immediately crashes my entire computer (crash to login screen). I have a suspicion it has to do with an interaction with Logitech's virtual camera though.

Hardware: Mac Mini (2018, i7, 64gb, 256gb) Software: Catalina 10.15.7 Camera: Logitech Brio (although the crash happens regardless of if the camera is connected)

When I launch the app, in the brief second before it crashes my computer back to the login screen, I do see in the title bar of the quick-camera window that it says "Logitech Virtual Camera" as the selected camera. I do have Logi Capture (logitech's camera software, similar to OBS) installed, which did recently add an update supporting a "virtual camera" intended to let you stream the output of the application as if it were a webcam feed, for things like zoom/youtube etc. Notably, I didn't see the crashes until after I had both installed, but uninstalling Logi Capture via AppCleaner does not fix the problem (the virtual camera still seems to exist).

Anyway, that's the problem. Let me know if there are any other things I can test or any further info from the logs I can provide.

Do you have the crash dump for this? It would help provide the developer more details on the possible cause.

Normally they are found in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports.

Hmm, doesn't look like I still have crash dumps from November, and good news - not able to reproduce anymore. I know Logi Capture has had 2-3 updates since, so maybe whatever they were doing with virtual cameras is now not a problem.
