This is a great idea!
I just came here to make this feature request, so I'm adding my support to this thread.
I've tried several USB camera viewing apps and Quick-Camera is the most complete - for example, having both lock-aspect-ratio and mirror options is rare. But sometimes I want to see pixel-for-pixel exactly what the USB device is picking up, and want to see the video at true 1:1 pixel resolution. And, in addition, it's also sometimes nice to see how an image might scale into a particular window size.
Thus, I have two request.
(Most important) - Have a key shortcut to make the window fit the native resolution of the camera (whatever that is) - perhaps display the resolution in the window title bar as well. It'd be nice if this setting was remembered between launches of the application.
Have a set of predefined common window sizes, for 16:9 and 4:3, such as "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768" and "640x360", "1280x720", and "1920x1080" that can be selected from the menus.
Thanks for providing a free and useful app.
Just checking in and re-upping the above comment, with an additional request - some kind of preferences menu for things we'd like to happen every time (such as "fix aspect ratio" or the above-mentioned true camera resolution), and/or Quick Camera will remember its settings from the previous use, so your window always pops up in the same place, size, and ratio (assuming that the current camera hasn't changed).
Would love this feature also!
I would like an option to automatically size the window to the native resolution of the input source. That way if I am using a HDMI capture device I can automatically get a window that is 1920x1080 and not try and guess the correct size of the image
