Offer API histogram data in hours as well as in days #573

We currently show histogram data per day. That works well. But per hour would even be better.

Tasks:

[ ] Add interval parameter with options like hour/day(/week/month)
[ ] Make sure the default is always day (because it always worked like that)
[ ] Make the interval parameter optional
[x] Keep same version number because the old API still works
