Sorry, I unfortunately tried testing it with 2.x in my local and was working fine.

But, with respect to 1.x seems like entityDescriptor is a private property and can no way be unset.

We will plan to do a work around to increase the column size to MEDIUMTEXT from TEXT. Thank you!
