I was finalising the custom search form on the homepage based off my clients new structure of Province > County, when I noticed that whether advert_location is marked as hierarchical or not in the back-end, the front-end always fails to group the terms correctly.
I'll try my best to explain in more detail.
If you navigate to Classifieds > Options > Core > Types > and either Adverts Categories or Locations, there's an option to mark the tax as "hierarchical". This works well for both cats and locations in the back-end, so when not hierarchical, you cannot define any sort of parent and child term setup. However, when changing both to be hierarchical, only cats seem to work.
As things stand, both are set up the same, but if you go here https://shakeonit.co.uk/classifieds/, you'll see the category dropdown reflects the back-end, whilst the location dropdown does not.
