I am sorry I did not forward the issues from semTools to my email. I was really lost.
The measurementInvariance function does not support the measurement invariance for categorical items now. Lavaan just updated theta parameterization on the previous patch. I will try to update this function for categorical items.
no problem! thanks a lot, felix

I just wrote the measurementInvarianceCat function for measurement invariance for categorical indicators. Please check our 0.4-5 version of semTools in the builds folder in the git. Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.
Hi,
i just wanted to point you to two issues at the github/semtools website. would be great if you could look into that.
best wishes, felix

Dear Felix,
Thank you for letting me know. I did not get the email notification so I did not see it. I did change the notification but it is strange that I did not receive the email. I will take care of it very soon.

Hi everyone,
i tried to use measurementInvariance() with a multigroup model with ordered indicators and WLSMV-estimator. It seems, that difftest uses in that case unscaled chi-square statistic and i wonder, whether this is the correct behaviour?
anova of the 2 models gives a different result. following this discussion (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/lavaan/SgQkqL369lI) i guess, difftest should rather use anova()?
see this example. If i am right, i guess, i could rewrite the difftest() function, if necessary. best wishes, felix
set.seed(1) library(lavaan) library(semTools) library(mirt) model = "x =~ Comfort + Work + Future + Benefit" Science$group = 1:2
models = measurementInvariance(model, data = Science, ordered = names(Science)[1:4], group="group") anova(models[[3]], models[[2]])
