It could be a memory issue. How much ram do you have on your PC? Do you have a save file I could see if I can reproduce the problem?
I've got 12GB of ram, which has been enough to get me through games made in 2018. Here's a file from a game I was playing yesterday. It crashed around June 1957.
Ending up fixing this, though still not entirely sure how. I'd done a fresh reinstall before, but on a whim I moved the game out of my /program files(x86) (though still on the same drive), deleted NWO, and did a fresh install of the mod yet another time, and now it works.
I recently downloaded the mod and I really like it - in some ways more than the base game. Unfortunately at some point in my game, it always crashes no matter who I play or what I do in my game, after an unspecified amount of time. I can reload my most recent save, but it always crashes on that same exact date.
If I start a new game (which I have many times) it will inevitably crash at some point or another, and once loaded again crash at the same date it crashed at the first time. The earliest this has ever happened was in 1953, and the latest I've ever gotten was 1969. I suspected it was some specific bugged event, so I've checked the logs in the Documents/paradox interactive/victoriaII/nwo/logs folder and there doesn't seem to be any correlating event at the end of the log or anything like that.
I can still play the game a fair amount, but there's obviously a ton unavailable to me because of it. Any ideas? My Vicky version is 3.04 (WNVU) and my NWO verison is 1.13,
