2 weeks ago Let's go for the isolated version, channels isolated in groups of 4;
- [ ] Eight channels are placed on the main board, and eight additional channels are placed on the mezzanine.
- [ ] Channel numbering must be as in other boards
- [ ] Use standard low cost 2.54 goldpin connectors and headers; nothing fancy, just ordinary ones.
We will fit easily with 10 or 12mm stacking height
- [ ] Make sure we have enough place for SMA nuts
- [ ] Use DI/OT template, don't modify the template files! (EEM_Connectors.SchDoc, CPCIS_Connectors_P1_P6.SchDoc)
- [ ] commit as DIO-SMA16-DIOT
- [ ] include spacers, nuts and washers into the design so it appears in BOM
- [ ] Keep SMA distance to panel and SMA type
- [ ] Route I2C in such a way that when in EEM mode, the board appears like two SMA-DIO8 boards
- [ ] get rid of MURATA_NXE2S1205MC - it's EOL
We are moving all boards to the DIOT form factor. The idea is to make a 16-channel SMA version. We have a 6HP panel, so that will fit. The question is - do we want a higher speed design or isolated in groups of 4 as it is now Or, we should make two versions. One line DIO-MCX but with SMAs, another isolated. Or, we make assembly variants with dc/dc converters or without them.
