I just noticed that we have also voltage sense capabilities on the final output on the laser module header board. So this might be not that critical, even though it would still be nice to detect higher voltages on the driver output.
The output voltage measurement circuit allows to measure voltages of -3 to 3 V. Since there are a couple of additional voltage drops in the current path https://github.com/sinara-hw/Laser_Module/issues/9 this means that we can't measure the output voltage correctly when driving about 60 mA into a 2.5 V drop laser diode on the low noise side. It would generally be desirable to have larger output voltage sense capabilities. The maximum output voltage at an open circuit is 13.3 V.
