Protruding screws #13

The four screws of the cover standoffs protrude (in some cases 1 mm) through the nut that is pressed/welded into the top cover (right side when placed in the crate). This makes the module wider than its front panel. Since there is very little space between that top cover and the underside parts of the adjacent (right) module, this is can touch and cause damage on insertion/shorts.

In the protype and design we used countersunk screws

jordens commented 11 months ago

Which ones?

I meant the screw of the standoff protruding through the cover. The one that's just adjacent to the sticker.

gkasprow commented 11 months ago

oh, there are just inserts. They should be completely flat with no protruding screws. It llooks TS used too long screws.

@jordens Thank you for bringing it to our attention. There are no screws there just threaded spacers. We haven't found such elements with shorter thread anywhere and the design does not let us use a shorter spacer. The reasonable way seems to be to grind two turns of the thread. We already solved this in v1.3.
