will hear your answer too, even already 3 years on programming, i still feel so noob :worried:
I am by no means an advanced programmer, but I do code often 12+ hours/day. In order to avoid burnout I only work on things that I truly care about. Up to this point I've had difficulty finding the drive to code all day within the workplace since doing a project you love is not always an option.
I want to hear Sindre's response to this for sure, I know he's been big in the scene for several years now, so time helps drive knowledge and success.
@dawsonbotsford wow 12+hours , what do you code btw?
@rgbm21 I like to code node stuff and things that relate to vim. Like I said, I'm a newer developer, but I'm obsessed :+1:
Currently in a bootcamp learning front-end stuff, focused on Javascript....and over the next couple of months we're learning Node.
What advice would you have for someone like me, who is just starting out and wants to become a great coder? Any special practices or routines? I know it's going to take time.
It's been a really slow learning process for me so far....but Im getting better.
Are you self-taught? And if so....what did you do to become so good?
Also, how do you avoid getting burned out? When I push myself really hard while coding, I get mentally drained.
Thanks. Hope you are well.
