I've added Neal Asher's Polity series to the Science Fiction section, as well as adding Vernor Vinge's A Deepness in the Sky to the hard sci-fi section. I feel like my description of the Polity series is a bit long, but the series includes almost 20 books, including three distinct sub-series and several standalone novels.
As for my bonafides, I'm 37 and have been a voracious reader (1-3 books a week) since I was in elementary school... and over half of those books have been science fiction. I saw many of my favorite books and series already in the list, but the novel and series that I added were, IMHO, glaring omissions.
