Hi,
I did some test with MAX and the imp.dmx.artnet object and it worked well. It is maybe a problem between Onyx and dmx-hue.... My point was only to test if I could control Philips Hue externally so it is a success! Thanks a lot.

Hello, I do not know Onyx so I cannot speak specifically for this software (I only tried with QLC+ software and some some other helper tools to send raw ArtNet packets), but here are some limitations I know:
Try starting Onyx software only after dmx-hue is running, otherwise both software might conflicts to start an ArtNet server on the same port (QLC+ does that)
Some software claiming to work with ArtNet only recognize or work with interfaces from the same Brand. AFAIK, Daslight 4 for example see the dmx-node perfectly but refuse to send packets to it, because it's not an "official" interface they sold 😞 That might me the same with Onyx, as it seems to be a commercial software
Hi,
I am using Onyx on an other computer so the starting order should not be an issue. Onyx works with a lot of DMX to Art-net interface, proprietary and not proprietary (Enttec and Elation are two brand I already used with it without problems).
Thanks for the reply, anyway my next step is to hire a developper if I'm going the Hue way for this project.
regards,
LR
Hi there, I had the same question... Did you find a solution to that problem? With the ArtNet Controller Android App it worked...
Hi,
I'm using Onyx (http://forum.obsidiancontrol.com/t/introducing-onyx/4921) to control hardware Artnet node like Enttec ODE and Elation Enode 8 Pro without any issues. I want to use it to control my Philips Hue with your software node but it is not working. I have a Mac Book Pro detecting the Hue bridge and running the node, but it don't respond to the Artnet command I'm sending with Onyx, installed on a PC on the same network. I tried broadcast and unicast to my Mac Book Pro IP address without success. Do you know what could be wrong?
