update for new version #5

Is there a chance we can get this for LEAP with the latest version of the driver? I could contribute to this with some funding.

hi, i patched the current evdi sources to be compatible with kernel 4.9 and adapted the current displaylink driver installer to be compatible with opensuse (at least tumbleweed). so this should be also compatible with leap. all you have to to is to change the installer script to detect and accept leap as supported distribution. https://github.com/sinfomicien/displaylink-evdi-opensuse/issues/4

will it be compatible also with kernel in LEAP?

i added the patch to check for kernel 4.9. like shown here: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/commit/b7606bccc0cb9484c2845a3e556faf60ed3c0bff it depends on the kernel version used in leap. but i would assume, it will be compatible.
