Description of change

TDL-20921: Update the Tap code as per the PEP8 standards by applying the following standards to the Tap code.

Pep8
Pylint
Add doc string to all the functions
Check all the comments and doc strings are grammatically correct
Change function names that describe the logic
Add function args description in doc string.
Update unit tests by using parameterized
Remove unreachable code
