remove fixed-width (causes horizontal overflow on small screens) #156

With the page width fixed at 1600px, there is some horizontal overflow on small screens:

Thanks for the fix @hall! I just tested locally, and the subtle change is an improvement when the screen size gets smaller. Merging.
