Change status output location #61

currently the status output uses print() and goes to the console in RStudio but on the hub, it doesn't show up anywhere. Hubzero recommends saving debugging output to a file. also change status message for the user to display in the UI somewhere...

hmm, this doesn't look very good and isn't really that useful...maybe a message that disappears would be better?

yup, instead of a log file, using showNotification which is much nicer (:
