wifite starting error

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 11.10 Desktop Edtion

Please provide any additional information below.
I do have aircrack-ng latest version and it does say i dont have...
expect that i dont know if i have any other error:\

You're not on Backtrack, so there's a chance your wireless drivers are not 
compatible.

Do you know if your wireless card is compatible with the aircrack suite? Have 
you ran airodump-ng without the use of a script?

Open up a terminal and execute: 

airodump-ng wlan0

Do you get any errors?

The version of aircrack on the ubuntu repos might not be the actual latest 
version.  What version of aircrack do you have? Run 'aircrack-ng' and the first 
line should say what version / revision (such as "Aircrack-ng 1.1 r1904").  If 
you're using anything older than that, I suggest installing aircrack-ng from 
source instead of via apt-get.
