I got the same error starting 2 days ago, but upgrading to the latest version solved it.

jesus christ. i got the new version and it actually launches but damn whatever they did to this version it sucks!

the old version was really easy to set up but in this one i cant get anything to work. i click my hot key that i have had for like a year now and it does nothing but switch to my speakers but not back!! in fact my headphones wont work at all with the program unless i go to the bottom right and click on it.

EDIT: ok less tilted now, but this is a real issue, i cant set up the program now at all as opposed to the last version. clicking my hot key switches to the next playback device but not back
