Steps to Reproduce

I was...

To reproduce:

  1. Go to 'create new map'
  2. Click on 'create map'
  3. Crash occurrs

extra Only happens in the Chromebook version

Duplicates #1658

I don't know what the deal is with ChromeOS but whatever user space it's using for launching Linux apps seems to not provide the latest graphics stack.
