Quite a few games (for example, Killing Time and the Mac versions of SiN and No One Lives Forever) use the burgerlib REZ file format, but there are no ready-made tools for opening this kind of archive. However, the format has code available to load it under MIT license, and said code is well documented:
A couple caveats might be that there are evidently more than one subformat (older games would use the older format(s), most likely), and that some games may have compressed lumps - this is less important than just being able to browse and extract data from the archive would be, though.
