In light of #6, I'd like to propose moving the following functionality from AA228RedPen to RedPen

Soon

[ ] database management
[ ] a status function in addition to a submit function

Later

[ ] serving a leaderboard

@mossr would you be opposed to merging these changes into the master branch?

I agree with all of these and would support a merge into master.

Someday.... I am out of time for now though. After I finish teaching the class, it would probably be worth it to spend a bit of time doing things like this
