It's currently not possible indeed, I keep the issue open for reference.
hey, just had an additional idea which belongs to this:
i know that this would be a huge amount of work to integrate. Just came up with this while working with different platforms and file types. I recognized that when making a "nice" DMS for ourselves we should think about the file structure we transfer into Sismics. So it makes a great difference in view/download perspective. So there are so many options on how to store "paper" in Sismics like a photo of a letter, a single PDF page, a multi page PDF, and so on ... ^^
Yes that's true. Using several images is better for Docs, that's how I designed it (images coming from a scanner). However I know some users are using multi-page PDF also.
Maybe instead of permanently merging several images/PDF, we could just improve the download as PDF feature (which currently takes all files and merges them in a single big PDF) and let the user decide which file to download as PDF (using checkboxes or whatever).
hi.
i use Sismics Docs for uploading scanned images as well as digital files which come from mail. In real world it's not possible to omit multipage PDFs. Some example might be a regular invoice or shipping slip from some supplier, or a document containing terms and conditions.
Doing some chaining of all or some selected files of a document to a complete single PDF would be an idea.
I think merging uploaded PDF documents is less relevant than splitting them up. because if you are able to split up files into parts, then you can move pieces from one Sismics document to another

I would also like this.
great software, but this feature is really missing and is rather important. Reorganizing files and documents is very difficult to nearly impossible at the moment: files have to be downloaded and uploaded again to different document, then deleted in the old document...
Hi, is it/will it be possible to move some file from one document to another document? At the moment i am using Docs 1.6 from the master branch.
kind regards, Mario ;)
