@warshawshaw can you tell me the dimentions of the thermal printer and send a photo if possible?
Hey,
Sorry for the late reply. Here are the dimensions.
4"x2.25"x2" below this lip that runs around the top edge.
Lip is 4 3/8" x 2 9/16"
But a casing that it can fit into below the lip would probably work best. It needs a 1"x 1/4" opening on the back side of the bottom for cords to run through. To be safe it would be easiest to cut a slit that is 3/8" or 1/2" deep in the the rear side on the bottom. It's not centered; it should be 1 5/8" from the left side and 1 3/8" from the right side (measuring with the back/wires side up). It's kinda annoying without seeing it so you can borrow it for a while if you want. Is there a good time and place I can hand it off to you?

Design a casing for the thermal printer. Do NOT use any "Studio-X" logos or identity, it should be a generic case, but it can incorporate color (perhaps the color of the location it will be installed in).
@warshawshaw can help - he has a thermal printer.
