This undetectable adblocker bypass it: https://github.com/nathan-149/adblock-extension-nodetect

JobcenterTycoon commented 4 years ago

Not working on all sites and its not working on sites with BlockAdblock so its not undetectable. And many ads are unblocked. I stay on uBlock Origin.

Some people need ad revenue for living. Just know that.

Use https://github.com/dhowe/AdNauseam instead, provides ad revenue while screwing over the advertising firms, meanwhile you still (optionally) don't see advertising.

Well tracking our every move and invading your privacy is not the way to do it. Nor is shoving unwanted content in our face.

Also Malversting and scam is a big thread even on bigger sites like youtube. From fake download buttons over NSFW "hot girls in your area" to fake giveaways. Nearly no website owner care, they just embed every crap they find. Also lies are common like "20% discount" but when i open a tab in a other browser or private window without parameter its exacly the same price, just without the fake discount.

Alternates? Just a overpriced subscription. But what if a user just want to get rid of the ads and tracking without additional "premium" features? Nearly no website owner care.

Interesting: Browser Cryptomining getting flagged by many AV Vendors as a thread because of its CPU usage while regular ads wasting CPU, GPU, RAM, Bandwidth, stealing user data and interrupt the view of the content.

I don't want to play devil's advocate, but that's true... in exceptional cases. If an average person's income depends solely on ads, then I believe they have a serious problem.

I don't agree that ads should be used as main source of income. Instead, ads should used as passive income.

Use AN

I agree with their philosophy, but I can't participate. uBO is a must-have for me, because internet-bandwidth in my country is very slow. I would still recommend AN to all privacy-advocates, so (to anyone reading this) please spread the word.

[!note] BTW, I don't consider myself a "privacy advocate/activist". I'm more of a "privacy conscious" and "efficiency advocate" (anti-bloat)

Alternates? Just a overpriced subscription.

Or donations. But, unfortunately, that's not as profitable. As not everyone is willing to pay, and some people are incapable of paying.

OTOH, it makes no sense to show ads to someone who cannot (and shouldn't) be paying for something, such as kids and teens. Depending on the ad content, it can even be unethical or outright illegal (alcohol, drugs, gambling, porn, etc...).

This implies donations are ethical all of the time, but ads can range from "questionable" to illegal.

Cryptomining getting flagged by many AV Vendors as a threat because of its CPU usage while regular ads wasting CPU, GPU, RAM, Bandwidth, stealing user data and interrupt the view of the content.

lol, McAfee be like: 🤡

Wait, I forgot McAfee is a placebo 💀

Don't care, I'll still use adblock and still find ways to bypass detection.
