Hi @sitron, following @sephii recommendation (https://github.com/sitron/lst/issues/3#issuecomment-23921832), I just add a cleaner opening process in 962a737. This is a cherry-pick from https://github.com/sephii/taxi/blob/master/taxi/utils/file.py#L14-L30 so it should work for any taxi user!

thanks for the contribution! i'll merge the PR even though it's not very useful in its current state as if your config has a problem you can't call "edit" anymore :) (But this problem is directly related to the discussion we have in issue #17 )
