wmd adds a <p> to each line #9

It seems that wmd add's a paragraph tag to each line:
Example:http://egoo.de/forum/topic/herzlich-willkommen (Output)

I use the same script (http://egoo.de/wmd/wmd.js) for the blog (wordpress)
and the forum.

In the blog everything works fine, but not in the forum.

isn't the fact of adding a <p> to each line an intended feature of markdown?

Actually I believe this is an issue with IE8.  If you either go to the demo 
page in 
IE8 or use WMD in your site with IE8 the markdown gets changed into html 
(properly 
formatted but none the less).  

Some testing might be required but I think this one is really an IE8 browser 
compatibility issue.
