Refresh problem #357

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add Google gadget Reader on KDE
2. Click on updated
3. You have to move a window to have a good refresh

Other problem
1. Add GMail plasmoid on KDE
2. Click on a mail onpen a white windows, not a window with mail content

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Refresh is not good, we have to move a window to refresh Google Reader plasmoid

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mandriva Cooker 2010.1 32 bit KDE 4.4

I see a similar problem with Mandriva 2010.0 x64 and GNOME
(google-gadgets-gtk-0.11.1-2.5mdv2010.0). I'd like to use it, but it's basically
worthless as it is now. Even the clock doesn't update without forcing a window 
refresh.
