Glyph is not found in some cases #2

I use PlaystationEye camera and a sample glyph (5x5 segments and 8x8cm in 
length). When I move if close to the camera (80-90% of the stream frame is the 
glyph) the recognition is failing. Similar issue exists when I move it away 
from the camera. I've attached sample images so you can make some tests.

1) Application can not recognize glyph if it is too close, since current 
algorithm needs some white area around black border of glyph.
2) Detecting of small glyphs which are far away is tricky also.
